NO1. Keynote speech

"Xuchang Yanling Jianye Hot Spring Hotel"
Li Yingqi
General Manager of Project Earth Landscape Architects Limited

The project is located in Yanling, Xuchang, Henan, near the Kaifeng area of Zhengzhou. Since ancient times, it has been famous for its hot springs, and it is a place for aristocrats to spend time. The main customer groups of the hotel are high consumption groups of business leisure and hot spring vacation in Henan. The name of the hotel is: THE MIST, which means misty mist. The naming is related to the original intention of the design.

Architect Amata put forward the design concept of "Every cloud has a silver lining", that is, when we see a dark object, its edge is actually very bright. Such a light. The design process is like three states: reality, which is the bad status quo; fantasy, which is fantasy and imagination; and finally the scene, which is the landscape after realization.

The hotel is positioned as a super five-star small luxury hotel. The building is a big box. It is divided into squares, and blue, purple, red, and yellow are added to enrich its tones. The whole presents a very splendid color, full of rhythm, color, and memory. The hotel is surrounded by a lake area, and there is an outdoor bubble pool in the center, and the guest room is actually a large "bubble pool". When the mist of the hot spring on the lake is transpiring, creating a misty atmosphere, the client is like an experience in the cloud and mist, making the entire building room feel like an outdoor, and truly integrating the landscape with the building.

The indoor ceiling is made of acrylic material, and the fog is simulated by random arrangement. The lobby, conference room, and restaurant space all have the feeling of being shrouded in fog; the all-day dining restaurant uses white acrylic to express the white outline of the cloud, and expresses the bright edge. Come out, and at the same time integrate the lake area and the cherry blossom forest on the opposite bank into the interior; we hope not to give people too much stimulation from foreign objects, but more tranquility and relaxation.

The lines of the building are all straight lines without curves, and the glass on the exterior walls is rich in color. This contrast also exists in the landscape design. The overall design of the landscape insists on using simple and heavy materials to create space, and the use of color is also extremely "paranoiac". The ground paving in the whole area only uses two extremely heavy materials, black and dark gray. The depth makes the splendor of the exterior wall of the building better contrast and brighter; at the entrance of the project, a big tree and a dry waterscape are used to display the whole space to show a kind of spirit; the combination of mountains and water, we You will see the reflection of a big mountain, and it will appear more majestic. This is the original intention of our large waterscape.

There is a big difference in height from the main entrance to the lobby. We used this height difference to create a three-dimensional sloped lawn. The experience of entering from the entrance is like driving into a mountain. The top surface is the forecourt of the flat lobby. This design allows the space of the forecourt to be greatly extended. On the moving line, we give customers a higher specification. When you park in the parking lot, use a special car to go to the drop-off area of the hotel lobby, and then enter the hotel; set up a VIP entrance on the west side to reach the exclusive parking lot, drop-off area and a private elevator to guest room.

On the field in front of the lobby, we maximized the mirror reflection pool, using pure black stone as the bottom of the pool, and a shallow pool of only 10 cm to maximize the architectural reflection. Shallow water reflection pools, forests, black stone paving, and tree planting arrays together constitute the core landscape area in the front court.

Entering the lobby, you can overlook the core landscape of the backyard of the hotel - the landscape lake and the outdoor SPA area. We dug a lake in the surrounding area of the main building of the hotel, and used the height difference to create a drop level, which made the water flow and circulated, and enriched the landscape space. Plants, considering the later maintenance, we did not do too many layers, and built a cherry blossom forest on the large grass, and the overall method was relatively pure.

18 outdoor SPA areas with different themes have been set up in the lake, which is not only an expansion of the indoor SPA, but also a unique experience of its own. The landscape in this area accounts for about half of the hotel landscape, but there are no large-scale landscape structures. When the fog spray is turned on, the spa area seems to float on the lake, integrated with the building, and the beauty is not obvious. , recalling the phantasmagoric experience of our original design.

What are the advantages of Shenzhen and Hong Kong?

Q1: How do you view the domestic landscape in 2015-2020?

In fact, from 2015 to 2020, I feel that it is a period of rapid development. There are good and bad high turnover. I feel that there are many more employees in the entire landscape industry in the past five years, and I also feel that the project is getting more and more difficult to do. , why is it difficult to do? Because more and more professionals are in Party A and the construction side, many professionals have entered this industry, which has brought about a skyrocketing growth of personnel in the entire industry in the past five years, especially in the real estate industry; for Party A and design companies It's all very good, because only with so many professionals can the entire industry have hope and motivation to move forward; especially with the addition of young designers, the new force constantly reminds us to keep our original intentions in design. , we also hope that young designers will not forget their original intention to enter this industry.

At the same time, although the market is declining now, when the market is not good, it is not necessarily bad for designers. We need time to think and reflect. We need more time to think about what we have done in the past few years, and then some things we can do in the future. , I think this is very important.

Q2: In the future development of the landscape industry, what are the advantages of Shenzhen and Hong Kong?

From 2015 to 2020, the rapid development of our nation and economy, the improvement of the requirements for living quality, and the favorable monetary and macroeconomic policies of the country have supported the development of real estate, which has resulted in the explosive growth of real estate. Now that the general environment and monetary policy are more cautious, as a real estate developer project, if the land price and plot ratio are fixed, the selling price is restricted, and the customer is also fixed, resulting in a fixed profit. In order to sell off-plan houses, more money is invested in the exhibition area. When the houses are sold, there is not enough driving force to implement the large area well, resulting in the large area not being the focus.

I think the center of the Bay Area has been transferred from Hong Kong to Shenzhen. From a geographical point of view, Shenzhen is relatively remote, and it is not as good as the policies in Shanghai: the Yangtze River Delta where Shanghai is located has a relatively good economy and high requirements for landscape, which drives developers and the government to improve the quality. The Cantonese people are very practical and do not have high requirements for landscapes, which leads to the development not as fast as Shanghai. The Chinese people's demand for buying a house will not change. It is actually a very important asset. In the future, it can expand the development direction of residential and public buildings. However, if it rises to the dimension of the Bay Area, as a national strategic area, it can absorb more thinking and resources such as Hong Kong and Singapore. At the same time, the Bay Area is a place where private enterprises are very active, and there is a good space for horizontal development. Renovated projects, street gardens, and places in small communities all have good development directions. We have seen that Shanghai companies, Beijing companies and even Southwest companies have opened many branches in Shenzhen and laid out the area in advance, so I think there is still a lot to do in the Bay Area in the next ten years.
